On the occasion of the 124th birth anniversary of poet Jibanananda Das, a three-day Jibanananda Mela has been inaugurated in Barisal. This fair will run from 10 am to 9 pm every day.
College Principal Prof. Golam Kibria and Barisal City Corporation Mayor Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah’s wife Lipi Abdullah inaugurated the fair by flying balloons on the main building ground of Government Brajmohan College on Wednesday (February 15) afternoon.
Besides, the Vice Chancellor of Brajmohan College gave a speech at the meeting. AS Qayoum Uddin Ahmed, General Secretary of Teachers Council Alamin Sarwar, General Secretary of Barisal Cultural Organization Coordination Council Debashish Chakraborty etc.
At the opening ceremony, the staff of Uttaran performed dance and song.
